Parent Volunteers
PYST is successful only with the support of our family volunteers during our swim meets. We are so appreciative of the continued support and involvement from our swim families. PYST will be requiring each family volunteer at two (2) home swim meets (out of 4) this season. Home meet volunteer sign-ups will be sent out via email in advance. To ensure responsibility of this requirement, each family will have to supply a check in the amount of $100 by the night of the parent meeting (time and date TBD). Checks of families who have fulfilled the requirement of volunteering will be shredded and not cashed at the end of the season. For families who do not fulfil these requirements, your checks will be cashed at the end of the season.
Volunteer Opporitunities
Meet Set Up/Clean up: Help set up for the meet and clean up after.
Timer: (2) timers per lane to time each event. Training will be provided at the beginning of each meet.
Stager: Lead swimmers to staging area prior to event(s) in pool area.
Concessions: Sell food and drink items at concession stand. (You are able to step away to watch your swimmer(s)!)
Heat Sheets/Chuck a Duck Table: Collect money for heat sheets and ducks for Chuck a Duck contest. You will have a view of the meet from here.
Awards/Volunteer Check In: Check in registered volunteers and print labels for ribbons. You will have a view of the meet from here.
Meet Director Assistant: Work with meet director and timing table. You will have a view of the meet in this role.
